FAQ
Q: What's all this talk about hotspots? Do I need T-Mobile service?
A: Several major bookstore chains, such as Borders, signed a deal with T-Mobile to allow pay-to-surf wireless internet access to T-Mobile customers. For the rest, a trial 24 hours could be had by signing up. In addition to Borders, these Mobile Hotspots were common at Starbucks too. Now, many cafes, restaurants, libraries, car dealerships, and other businesses are offering wireless internet as an incentive or courtesy service for their customers. Some may be free access, some most require signup, but they have adopted T-Mobile's "Hotspot" nickname thanks to all the marketing.
